To be a real man means nothing more than to be a good human above all. I think that in 21 century there are no rules that would tell what a real man is. Family is no longer based on man and we strive for equality for men and women. After all a "real man" according to many women should be careful, sensitive but on the other hand strong, brave and protective at the same time. Women want to feel save and exceptionally with men. They want to be loved and feel loved. So for me as a woman, being a real man means as much as being a good human, an authority for other and to be to able to make woman feel special.
You seem to be at least partly defining a man in relation to women. What about men who have no relationships with women: priests, gay men, etc?
